Harold Oliver

Mr. Oliver, 74, of Shelby, NC, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 at his home. A native of Cleveland County, he worked at J. P. Stevens and at Doran Mill, and was an avid hunter and fisherman and a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Shelby. Mr. Oliver was preceded in death by his parents G. P. Oliver and Bessie Foster Oliver. Mr. Oliver is survived by his wife Janette Mullinax Oliver of the home, two sons and their wives Tim Oliver & Karyn of Polkville, Jeff Oliver & Kim of Shelby, a daughter and her husband Debbie Hamrick & Roger of Shelby, brothers Henry Oliver and wife Shirley of Shelby, Lawrence Oliver and wife Nell of Shelby, Jerry Oliver of Kings Mountain, David Oliver and wife Annie of Kings Mountain, sisters Vickie Rice and husband Ernest of Shelby, Ruby Ledford and husband Ted of Lawndale, Clara Crawford and Evelene Thompson both of Kings Mountain. Mr. Oliver's grandchildren are Angel, Adrian, Roger Jr., Patrick, McKenzie, & Cade, and one great grandchild Damon. In addition to these Mr. Oliver is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted by Drs. Tim Simms & J. M. Ezell both of Bethel Baptist Church of Shelby.
