Mr. Isaiah (Harrill) Cooper, 79, of Shelby, NC, found peace and rest as he entered his final home with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at his home. Born February 1, 1930 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Daniel William Amos Cooper and Hattie Walker Cooper. He was a member of Lattimore Baptist Church. He had worked in textiles, was a truck driver and following retirement he continued working for Cleveland County as a recyler. In addition to his parents, Harrill was preceded in death by his first wife Inez Russ Cooper, two sons; Charles Cooper and Wesley Cooper, eight brothers; Arthur, Roy, Ralph, Woodrow, Yates, Toy, Evans & Calvin Cooper, two sisters Rachel Cooper & Ruth Cooper Mintz, and two grandchildren Karen Hamrick & Stevie McKnight. Harrill is survived by his wife Diane S. Cooper of the home, two sons Don Cooper and wife Cynda of Lancaster, SC, and Ronald Cooper of Hickory, NC, four daughters Pat Hamrick and husband Dennis, and Joyce McKnight and husband Stephen both of Shelby, Evelyn Stephens and husband Terry of Connelly Springs, NC and Barbara Strickland and husband Greg of Hickory, NC, and a daughter-in-law Rhonda Cooper of Shelby, and a step-son Robert Sisk and wife Tammy of Blacksburg, SC. Harrill's GRANDCHILDREN are David Cooper & wife Donna, Warren Cooper & wife Sandra, Joey Hamrick & wife Janet, Kevin Hamrick & wife Brandy, Timmy McKnight & wife Becky, Tammy McKnight, Ashley Allison, Stacey Cooper, Johnny Cooper, Brittany Stephens, Alexis Stephens, Sara Strickland, Kayla Strickland, Ryan Strickland, Stephen Sisk, Stephanie Sisk & Kimberly Sisk. GREAT GRANDCHILDREN are Austin Cooper, Avery Cooper, Dalton Cooper, Andy Danielle Hamrick, Annabelle Hamrick, Andrew McKnight, Samuel McKnight, Madison Allison, Walker Allison, Dawson Kidd, Destiny Cooper and Emily Cooper. Harrill is also survived by brother and sister-in-laws; Bertha Cooper, Edna Cooper, Gertrude Cooper, Pearl Cooper, Ray & Pat Russ, Becky Bridges, Kenneth and Shirley Russ, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Tommy Cook
