Herman Hardin

Mr. Hardin, 86, of 411 Whitner Street, Shelby, NC, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, he had worked for Belding Lily in the maintenance department. He was a member of The Lily Old Timers Club & Lily Men's Club. Mr. Hardin was preceeded in death by his parents Joe Hardin & Naomi Bowen Hardin, his wife Mary Hardin Hardin and two brothers Gene Hardin and J. L. Hardin. Mr. Hardin is survived by a daughter and her husband Connie Hardin Hoyle & Doug of Shelby, a brother Floyd Hardin, sisters Pearl Crawford, Edith Stroup & Irene Gourley. Mr. Hardin has three grandsons Gordon "Dusty" Hoyle Jr. & wife McCall, Dereik Hoyle & wife Rhonda, and Wes Hoyle, one great grandson Jacob Lee Hoyle, a great granddaughter Emilie Beattie, two great grandsons Taner Hoyle and Gordon D. Hoyle III. Graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. Bob Dills. Memorials may be made to the Cleveland County Humane Society, 1609 E. Marion Street, Shelby, NC 28150.
