Hermine Cabaniss

March 14, 1916 — May 11, 2009

Mrs. Cabaniss, 93, of 1809 Chatfield Rd., Shelby, NC passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 at Carillon Assisted Living of Shelby. A native of Cleveland County, she retired from Cleveland Regional Medical Center where she worked at the information desk. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cabaniss was preceeded in death by her parents; Loren Hoyle & Dovie McSwain Hoyle, her husband James E. Cabaniss, a son-in-law Charles Hugh Hamrick, a brother Warren Hoyle and a sister Aileen Hoyle Cabaniss.

Mrs. Cabaniss is survived by a daughter Kay Cabaniss Hamrick of Shelby, grandchildren and spouces; Angela Hamrick Smith & Darren of Shelby, Gina Hamrick Alexander & Donnie of Ellenboro, Kevin Hugh Hamrick, & Luke Hamrick both of Shelby. Her great grandchildren are James Wesley Lookadoo and Christopher Thomas Davidson both of Shelby. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their thanks to her special caretakers at Carillon, Jeanntt Jones, Shirley Lennox, Lucille Norville, Doris Cash, Kira Lawrence, Barbara Hunt and Sue Mace.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Len Byers and Rev. Tim Elmore.
