Hilda Borders

Mrs. Hilda Borders, 84, passed away on November 3rd, 2024, at Atrium Health- Cleveland Pines, Shelby, NC. A native of Cleveland County, Mrs. Hilda Borders was born on May 30th, 1940, in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late Hood Graham and Mary Lee White.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Jack Borders, infant daughter Kathy Ann, son-in-law Melvin Frady, three brothers, Jackie, Jerry, and Jimmy White, sister-in-laws Linda Warren and Nancy Beaver, and brother-in-laws Jerry Beaver, Doyle Borders, and Kenneth Borders.

Mrs. Hilda Borders is survived by her daughters Kay Frady and Sherry Johnson (Rodger) both of Shelby, NC, and grandchildren, Dereck Walker, Patrick Walker, Douglas Davis (Tammy), and Amanda Norman (Justin). Great-grandchildren, Garrett, Isabella, Easton Walker, Jackston Norman, and Braydon Ort. Sister-in-laws, Nancy, Wanda, and Becky White, Linda, and Teresa Borders, brother-in-law, Ricky Borders (Lisa), and two sister-in-laws Linda and Teresa Borders.

Mrs. Hilda Borders was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and was always there to help those in need. Hilda was also a member of New Buffalo Baptist Church in Grover, NC for 25 years, she loved working in the fellowship hall kitchen, cooking for those she loved, and working in her yard.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, at 1:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, at, New Buffalo Baptist Church, Grover, NC, officiated by Rev. Adam Green. Burial will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Park, Shelby, NC.

Pallbearers: Garrett Walker, Douglas Davis, Justin Norman, Jabo White, Bryon White, and Brent White.
