Howard Sigmon

Mr. Sigmon, 84, of 1118 Crowder Ridge Road, Shelby, NC passed away Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Measowwood Nursing Center in Gastonia, NC. A native of Cleveland County, NC, Mr. Sigmon was retired from the 4 C's Vending Company, a veteran of the U. S. Army, and a member of Polkville Baptist Church. Mr. Sigmon was preceeded in death by his step- father and mother Alvin L. Cook & Mertie Sigmon Cook, and a number of half brothers and sisters and step brothers and sisters. Mr. Sigmon is survived by his wife Virginia McKee Sigmon of the home, three brothers Brady Cook, Clyde Cook, and Gene Sigmon all of Polkville, five sisters; Ethel Fortenberry & Mary Fortenberry both of Shelby, Ruth Davis and Reba Head both of Polkville and Catherine Crotts of Casar and a step-daughter Louise McNeeley of Shelby. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Rick Hamirck and Rev. Glenn Walker.
