Imogene Mcmurry

Mrs. McMurry, 86, of 2109 Cameo Drive, Shelby, NC, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2008 at her home. A native of Rutherford County, NC, she was the daughter of the late C. W. Hamrick & Lillie Bell Gordon Hamrick. She was also preceeded in death by her husband, Henry Ford Braswell and a brother, Vaughn Hamrick and a sister Orene Smith. She was a caregiver and a very talented pianist and a servant of the Lord, a homemaker and a member of Putnam Memorial Baptist Church where she was a past Sunday School teacher and a member of Golden Years Senior Group.
Mrs. McMurry is survived by her husband Sidney "Sid" Raymond McMurry of the home, three daughters and their husbands Deanna Ledford & Maynard of Shelby, Betty Mull and Cle, and Jenene Philbeck and Wayne both of Ellenboro, NC, grandchildren Mike Ledford, Clifton Philbeck & wife Amber, Candice Curry & husband Daniel, great grandchildren Aliyah Ledford, Sage Curry, Cathan Curry & Chance Curry. She is also survived by many wonderful, caring, loyal & loving caregivers.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Bryan Glisson & Rev. Gary Marburger.
