Irvin Nelson

Mr. Irvin Nelson, 78, of Shelby, NC, passed away at Hospice at Wendover on March 22, 2012. Mr. Nelson was born in Gordonsville, VA to the late Clarence Rubin Nelson & Ellen Sofia Wallander Nelson.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Ray Nelson and a brother, Clayton Nelson.



Mr. Nelson retired from Fasco Industries where he was a mechanic.  He was a member of  Ascension Lutheran Church and served in the U. S. Army.



He is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Mauney Nelson of home; daughter, Janet Nelson of the home; son, Mark Nelson & wife Diana A. Nelson of the home; seven brothers, Marvin Nelson of New Windsor, MD., Donald Nelson of Stark, Fla., Orval Nelson, Sr. of Frederick, MD., George Nelson of Westminster, MD., Elmer Nelson and Harold Nelson of Littlestone, PA, Richard Nelson, Sr. of Union Bridge, MD and two sisters, Carol Blubaugh of Manchester, MD and Wanda Waugh of Lineborough, MD.
