James Blanton

Mr. James "Billy" William Blanton, age 43 of Shelby, NC passed away November 6, 2014 at his residence. Graveside services will be held 3:30 pm Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Cleveland Memorial Park, Shelby. A visitation will be held 2:00 - 3:00 pm Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory Chapel.
Born November 16, 1970 in Shelby, NC, Billy was the son of Jerry Wayne and Betty Jane (Canipe) Blanton, a son, Lucas Blanton of Shelby, NC, a brother, Arnold Blanton of Shelby, NC and his former wife, Carmen Blanton of Shelby, NC and was preceded in death by a special Aunt, Marjorie White.
Billy graduated from Burns High School in 1989. After graduation, he attended college at Cleveland Community College where he earned a degree in Machining Technology. He later worked for Curtis Wright Controls from 1999 until present. Billy enjoyed fishing and spending time with his son playing video games.
