James Donald "Duck" Haynes

Mr. James Donald “Duck” Haynes, age 76 of Shelby, NC, passed away Friday, November 1, 2024, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

 He is survived by his children, Jeff (Michelle) Haynes of Forest City, NC, and Jason Haynes (Angie) of Boiling Springs, NC, four grandchildren, Emily Haynes of Forest City, NC, Kailey Pennington of Kings Mountain NC, Tayla Tessneer of Kings Mountain, NC, and Miles Haynes of Boiling Springs, NC, a great granddaughter, Gemma Withrow and, and his feline cat, Smokey.

 Born October 17, 1948, in Cleveland County, NC, James was the son of the late J.D. Haynes and Colleen Lankford Haynes. James was an avid fisherman and loved to play golf. 

 A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Allen Memorial Baptist Church, 1222 Long Branch Road in Grover, NC, conducted by Rev. Bobby Hedgpath.
