James Thomas

Mr. Thomas, 74, of Grover, NC, passed away Friday, July 1, 2011 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Union County, GA., Mr. Thomas was employed by Pipeliners Local Union 798 as a welder. He was also a member of Christ the King Episcopal Church and served in the U. S. Marines. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Marion Thomas & Lydia Thomas and was also preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Thomas. Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife Lillian Faye Thomas of the home, two daughters, Lisa Borders of Shelby, and Sharon Avery of the home, two sisters Mary Dean of Moltree Ga., and Ruth Hawkins of Clover, SC, one brother Arvil Thomas of Clover, SC, two granddaughters Tonya Cearley & Crystal Garmon and four great grandchildren, Riley Ledbetter, Cheyenne, Savannah & Ty Garmon. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Vernon Moore pastor of Christ the King Episcopal Church of Shelby, NC.
