James William Black

Mr. James "Jim" William Black, age 84 of Ellenboro, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at Carillon Assisted Living of Shelby.
He is survived by three sisters, Hazel Smith, Sara Bradley and husband Bruce, and Rita Waters and husband Ronnie, all of Ellenboro, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born February 10, 1934 in Rutherford County, Jim was the son of the late George and Mae Black and was preceded in death by his wife, Irene.
Jim enjoyed tinkering with cars and trucks. He also loved his bluegrass music. Jim loved spending time with his family and friends and will be missed by those that knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 pm Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Campfield Memorial Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Scott Huffman. A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 4:30 prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
