James Wright, Jr.

James William Wright Jr., age 69 of Grover, NC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 10, 2021.

He is survived by a brother, Steven Wright and wife Maria Kuschk-Wright of Germany, and a sister, Betty McKee and husband Gene of Shelby, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.   Born in Cleveland County, NC, James was the son of the late James William Wright Sr. and Ruby Parker Wright and was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Wright and a sister, Mary Morrison.

James was a faithful member of Zion Baptist Church in Gastonia.  He enjoyed spending time with dogs (Star, Buster, and Sissy).  James was an avid Carolina Panthers fan.  James worked at Allied Universal as a security guard which he enjoyed.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Leo Kuykendall.  Burial will follow at New Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Kings Mountain.
