Mrs. Jane Cabaniss Weaver, 87, passed away Tuesday September 13, 2022 at Atrium Health-Cleveland.
She is survived by two daughters; Donna Weaver Murray, Kathy Melton (Mike), two sons; Ronald Weaver (Shella), Robert Weaver (Tamara) all of Shelby, six grandchildren; Chris Murray (Nichole) of Shelby, Justin Murray (Danielle) of Shelby, Amanda Melton (Rodney) of Charlotte, NC, Jennifer Weaver-Carson (Luke) of Banner Elk, NC, Tiffany Leonard (Lawrence) of Summerville, SC, Jake Weaver of Shelby, NC, eight Great Grandchildren; Alyssa, Dylan, Paxton, Tinley, Eli, Maddie, Gentry, Addie. Also, special friend and caregiver, Barbara Haynes. The family would also like to extend a great amount of gratitude to the staff of Shelby Manor for the care they gave their mother during her time there.
Born in Cleveland County, October 30, 1934, Mrs. Weaver was the daughter of the late Shelton Jones and Barbara Lee Davis Cabaniss. She was also preceded in death by her husband, J.V. Weaver, eight brothers and sisters, Helen Cabaniss, Wilber Cabaniss, Eubert Cabaniss, Elmo Cabaniss Rev. Guy Cabaniss, Beuna Kirby, Mary Lee Camp, and Paul Cabaniss.
A Graveside service will be held 1 pm Sunday at New Salem Church of Shelby (formerly Hoey U.M.C) cemetery, officiated by Pastor Priscilla Walker. The family will greet friends after the service at the graveside.
