Jerry Mckinney

Mr. Jerry Austin "Paw Paw Jerry" McKinney, age 78 of Mooresboro, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by two children, Scott McKinney and wife Donna of Mooresboro, NC, and Pam Harmon and husband Ansel of Mooresboro, NC, two grandchildren, Jerry Harmon and wife Shelley and Jerry McKinney, two great grandchildren, Lauren and Tristan, two brothers, Buddy McKinney and wife Ruby of Mooresboro, NC and Joel McKinney and wife Donna of Calabash, NC.
Born March 5, 1937 in Cleveland County, Mr. McKinney was the son of the late James Henry McKinney and Lillie Mae Tate McKinney and was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Glenda Patterson McKinney.
Mr. McKinney was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 pm Friday, January 15, 2016 at Trinity Baptist Church in Mooresboro conducted by Rev. Mike Frazier. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
