Joan Standish

Mrs. Standish, 67, of 415 Webb Road, Shelby, NC passed away Wednesday 8-27-2008 at her home. She was a native of Kalamazoo, Michigan and the daughter of the late Albert Mennes & Evelyn LaJune Nash Mennes. She had been a teller at First National Bank and did volunteer work with Elizabeth Elementary School. She was also preceeded in death by her husband Garold Stiles Standish and two brothers Albert William Mennes & John Mennes.
Mrs. Standish is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law; Rick Standish, Robb Standish & Angie, Randy Standish & Shannon all of Shelby. Her grandsons are C.J., Ethan, Zachary, Logan, & Landon, and her granddaughters are Nikki & Crystal, and a sister Janet Lang of Vicksburg, Michigan.

Services will be conducted by Dr. Harold Fite.
