Mrs. Traber, 78, of Shelby, NC passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Traber was a native of Natick, Mass., and she was the owner and operator of Joan's Snack Bar until 1960 when she met and married "Bud" Traber, the love of her life for 51 years. She was a loving mother, doting grandmother and great grandmother. She was a homemaker, an avid reader and natural nuturer of family and friends. Mrs. Traver was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Baker & Marion Irene Henderson Baker; husband, William Beard Traber; son, John Traber; sister, Betty Jean Spragg. She is survived by her son, William (Skip) Traber, II & wife, Joanne of Watertown, Mass.; daughter, Jeannine Traber-Fluet & husband, Ronald of the home; son, Lee Traber of the home; granddaughters, Kristelynn Fluett, Ashleigh Fluet, Joscelynn Fluet all of Shelby; Kimberlee Fluet of Gastonia; Brittnelynn Fluet of Shelby; grandson, Matthew Traber & wife, Janna of Storrs, Conn.; great granddaughters, Madison Fluet, Kaeleigh Fluet of Shelby; Julianna Traber of Storrs, Conn.; great grandson, Dominic Traber of Storrs, Conn.; Brother-In-Law, Melville C. Traber of Boynton Beach, FL. She was pleased to learn that she would be expecting her 3rd great grandchild in October of this year. She is also survived by a number of cousins and other family members in the Massachusetts area.
