Joe Pruett

Mr. Pruett, 46, of 2047 Winnwood Drive, Dalton, GA., passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Hamilton Hospital in Dalton. A native of Cleveland County, NC, he had worked in textiles and later earned his Nurses Aide Degree. He was a member of the Way of the Cross Baptist Church in Shelby, NC, volunteered for Cleveland Regional Medical Center, was a gospel singer and past president of the Cleveland Task Force. Mr. Pruett was preceded in death by a sister Debbie Hill Black. Mr. Pruett is survived by his mother Dorothy Owens Donahue and step-dad Bill Donahue of Rutherfordton, nC, a son Jordan Pruett of Rutherfordton, best friend Ricky Jackson of Dalton, GA., two brothers Billy Joe Hill of Gaffney, SC, and Eugene Hill of Blacksburg, SC, and two sisters Kathy Dover of Gaffney, and Jewell Gaut of Blacksburg, SC. Funeral services will be conducted by Revs. Leon Brown and Robert Mote.
