John Fredell

Mr. John Pressley Fredell, Sr. of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held 10:00 am Thursday at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by a daughter, Shenan Fredell McSwain and husband Andrew of Shelby, NC, five grandchildren, Christopher Tyler Fredell of Shelby, NC, Catelyn Marie McSwain of Shelby, NC, Cassie Elaine Fredell of Boiling Springs, NC, William Tyler Fredell of Boiling Springs, NC, and Haley Marie Fredell of Kings Mountain, NC, four sisters, Ann Neeley and husband Bill of Hopewell, NC, Helen Powell and husband Larry of Hopewell, NC, Sue Hubbard of Mooresboro, NC, and Jane Coggins of Polk, NC, and a brother Roger Fredell and wife Mary Ann of Caser, NC and a adopted nephew, Tracy Walker of Mooresboro, NC and several nieces and nephews.
Born May 23, 1950 in Rutherford County, Mr. Fredell was the son of the late Everett Pressley and Vernie (Chapman) Fredell and was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann (Mathis) Fredell, a son, John Pressley Fredell, Jr., and a sister, Shirley Landis. John worked for Dover/Doran Yarn Mills for more than 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
