Kathleen Bright

Katherine Turner Bright, 86 of 1550 Charles Road, widow of Oliver Lee Bright moved into her eternal home on Thursday, June 21, 2007. Originally from Gaffney, SC, she lived many years in Santee Cooper, SC before moving to Shelby, NC. She was a homemaker and a member of Landmark Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Wyatt and Lola Sellers Turner. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald William Bright, grandson Donald Bright and a sister and brother-in-law Daniel and Corrine David.

She is survived by 2 daughters & their spouses, Carolyn and Edwin Smith of High Point, NC and Nancy and Larry Lovelace of Shelby, NC, brother B. W. Billy and Margaret Turner of Gaffney, SC; nine grandchildren & spouses, Debbie and Michael Frisbee of Kentucky, Curt and Susan Lovelace of Gastonia, NC,
Sheli and Frankie Messamore of Auburn, GA, Joanne and Phillip Gilbert of Greensboro, Cynthia and Dale Sloan of Mt. Airy, Marty Martin of Green Creek, Chris Malone of Wallburg, Blake Smith of Myrtle Beach, SC and Sandy Martin of Boiling Springs, SC. 16 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her family of the heart includes all the staff, employees, and residents of Carillon Assisted Living.
