Keever Lovelace

June 2, 1921 — March 9, 2012

Mr. Keever C. Lovelace, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 9, 2012.  He retired from textiles where he was a knitter fixer.  A devoted member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, he had served as a past deacon and Sunday school teacher,  president and a member of the John W. Suttle Sunday School Class and on numerous committees. An avid sports fan, he was captain of the baseball and basketball teams at Lattimore High School.  He followed every Duke Blue Devils and Atlanta Braves games.  He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard and served in the U. S. Army during WWII.



A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Landrum Lovelace and Lillian McSwain Lovelace and was also preceded in death by his brother Rafe Lovelace and sister Anna Ray Brooks.



He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ruth McMurry Lovelace of the home; daughter Antionne "Ann" Wesson and husband Dan of Shelby,  LaMoine "Beau" Lovelace and wife Donna of Hendersonville; brother Asa Lovelace of Shelby; grandchildren Allen Wesson, Apryl Tessener and husband Ricky, Olivia Lovelace, Luke and wife  Krysta Lovelace and great granddaughter Bree Tessener and a number of in-laws, nieces and nephews.



The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Joseph Urash and staff at Dermatology Center  for their great care and compassion.  Also a special thanks to Hospice of Cleveland County for the love and support shown while taking care of Keever.
