Lamar Wilson

Mr. Lamar Mauney Wilson, age 87, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Carolina Care of Cherryville.

He is survived by his lovely wife, Carol Wilson; two sons, Mark Wilson, Ian Wilson and husband Jonathan Press; three grandchildren, Caleb, Aidan, and Abby Wilson.

Born in Shelby, NC on November 29, 1933, Mr. Wilson was the son of the late Samuel Bright and Cleo Mauney Wilson. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Samuel B. Wilson, Jr.

Mr. Wilson enjoyed learning of his Scottish heritage. He enjoyed being involved in the Revolutionary War reenactments at Kings Mountain National Military Park. He also loved doing scrimshaw and other artistic pursuits.

A Visitation service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Cleveland Funeral Service from 2-4 pm
