Larry Cooper

Mr. William Larry Cooper, 79, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Friday, October 4, 2024, at his residence. A native of Cleveland County, He was born on, September 14, 1945, Son of the late Calvin and Pearl Cooper. 

Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, Betty Cooper of 63 years of the home, two sons, Wayne Cooper of Mooresboro, Danny Cooper and wife Angie of Shelby, daughter, Angela Cooper of Mooresboro, brother, Jerry Cooper of Mooresboro, sisters, Gail Hollifield of Shelby, Barbara Fitch and Mike of Shelby, brother and sister in laws, Wayne and Vickie Davis, Roger Queen, Ronnie and Catherine Queen, thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren (another on the way) and his special fur baby Bandit.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and the owner of BJ’s Family Care Homes in Cleveland County for 42 years.

The family wants to give a very special thanks to our Hospice family: Donna, Debbie, Marie, Gloria and Lisa for the special care that you gave for the past three years.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Cleveland Funeral Service officiated by Dr. J. Barry Goodman and Danny Cooper. A visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.

To honor Mr. Cooper, the following grandchildren will serve as pallbearers: Chris Earney, Dylan Earney, Nathan Hale, Cassidy Lester, Ben Cooper and Ethan Cooper.
