Lloyd Idol

Mr. Idol, 69 of 2308 Ben Jones Rd. Shelby, NC was retired from the Textile Industry where he has been a Weaver, Loom Fixer & Supervisor of the Weave Room. He served 6 years in the U. S. Army & Army Reserve. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, former member of the Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department, Community Radio Watch, and REACT of Cleveland County. Mr. Idol's parents were the late Dennis Gordon Idol & Mildred Oakes Idol, also preceeding him in death was a son Marvin Berryhill, a daughter Julie Mildred Idol, and a brother Gordon Idol.
Mr. Idol is survived by his wife Jeanette Brown Idol of the home, three sons Lloyd Idol Jr. and Spencer Jones of Shelby, Phillip Jones of Boiling Springs NC, eight daughters Annette McCombs and Susan Horne of Rutherfordton, Lisa Swinson of Mooresville, NC, Pat Lewis of Charlotte, Amanda Howard and Linda Lee of Marion, NC, Deborah Henderson of Warsaw, NC, Christy Idol of Charlotte. He also has three brothers James Idol and Kenny Idol of Hamlet, NC, and Ernie Idol of Indian Trail, NC, three sisters Linda Faye Barnes and Karen Rogers of Rockinham, NC and Mary Hux of Roanoak Rapids, NC and a sister-in-law Helen Idol of Rockinham, NC. Mr. Idol is also survived by 20 grandchildren.
