Lois Blanton

Mrs. Blanton, 87, a resident of Cleveland Pines Nursing Center passed away Monday 8-4-2008 at Cleveland Pines. A native of Cleveland County, she had lived on Lattimore Street in Shelby and also at 118 Canterbury Dr. Kings Mountain, NC. Mrs. Blanton was a homemaker and had worked at the Lily Mill Co. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Louis Albert Smith & Gatha Blanton Smith, and her husbands Miles E. Threatt, Boyd Davis and David L. Blanton, brothers; Ralph Smith, William R. Smith and Benjamin B. Smith, and a sister Ruth Smith Sisk.
Mrs. Blanton is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Judy Wiggin and David, Jean Tesseneer and Jim all of Kings Mountain, NC. She is also survived by three step-daughters Nancy Davis Wehle & husband Richard of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Helen Davis Jessup of Hope Mills, NC, Alice Davis Price of Ladsen, SC, and a step=son Ed Davis and wife Ann of Leon IA. She has two granddaughters Sharon T. Boyer and husband Duane of Asheville, NC, and Kim T. Bishop and husband Mark of Heber Springs, ARK. Her great grandchildren are Lauren Boyer, Jenna Boyer, Emily Boyer, McKinzie Bishop, Wesley Bishop and Mason Bishop. Mrs. Blanton is also survived by three step-grandchildren; Margaret Wehle, Kathleen Wehle, and James Davis.

The family will be making headquarters at the home of her daughter Jean Tesseneer, 705 Bethlehem Road, Kings Mountain, NC.
