Lori Wortham

Lori Self Wortham, 52, went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2021 at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center surrounded by the comfort of her family. She is survived by her husband, Brett Wortham and children Ashley and Justin of Waxhaw, parents, Steve and Wilma Self of Shelby, and brother, Eric Self of Winston-Salem. She was also survived by numerous other family and friends whom she loved dearly.

Lori was born February 17, 1968 in Shelby, North Carolina. She was a graduate of Crest High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Wingate University. She went on to pursue a career in accounting and dedicated her life to those who meant the most to her. Lori was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, and friend who touched many lives. She enjoyed volunteering with her daughter’s high school band and watching her son’s baseball games. Her friends would best describe her as courageous, supportive, selfless, and loving. She will be missed.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Cleveland Funeral Services.  A private graveside service with family will be held later at Cleveland Memorial Park.
