Louise Brackett

April 19, 1929 — November 29, 2012

Mrs. Louise "Sis" Brackett, 83, of Shelby, passed away on November 29, 2012

at White Oak Manor of Shelby.  A native of Cleveland County, she was the

daughter of the late Clarence Alexander Newton & Mary Willie Sanders Newton.



Mrs. Brackett previously worked at Belmont Mill & Ora Mill and was a member

of the Baptist faith.



In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fay Edgar

Brackett; a grandson, Gary Cooper, and a great grandson, Christopher Cooper;

brothers, Ronnie, Charles, Tommy & J. C. Newton; and sisters, Gail Wilson,

Grace Adams, Faye Brackett & Martha Raye Morrow.



She is survived by her son, Keith Brackett & wife, Linda of Shelby; daughter,  Linda Rivers

of Kings Mountain; two brothers, Steve Newton & Ricky Newton of Shelby; sisters,

Muriel Bridges of Shelby, Brenda Pruett of Casar & Shirley Brady of Casar;

grandchildren, Jeremy Brackett & ( Jennifer), Robert Cooper & (Martha),

Tracy Lanier & (Paul), Donnie Cooper & ( Carrie); Chrissy Lanier & Don Smith,

Paula Creighton, Gina Short (Monk); great grandchildren, Randy Cooper, Stephanie

Champion, Anthony Pruitt, Brad Cooper, Justin Cooper, Kaelyn Brackett, Kenan

Brackett, Gerald, Courtney & Morgan Lanier, Austin, Alyssa, J.P &  Alex Creighton,

Alexis, MJ Short;  great-great grandchildren, Madison, Mariah & Bryson Cooper,

Sydney, Laney & Bryson champion, Mason & Bailey Pruitt & Braxton Cooper; also

survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.



Her family wishes to extend a special THANK YOU to her "Family" at White Oak

Manor for the love and care they provided during her stay.



Visitation: The family will receive friends in the sanctuary of Putnam Baptist

Church, Saturday, December 1st  1:00 - 2:00 pm and other times at the home of

her son, Keith Brackett, 2915 Poplar Circle, Shelby, NC

Funeral: Putnam Baptist Church, Saturday, 2:00 pm following the visitation

Officiating: Rev. Bryan Glisson

Burial: Cleveland Memorial Park
