Louise Waters Edwards

  Mrs. Louise Waters Edwards, age 88 of Shelby, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

 She is survived by her children, Donna Pendleton of Lawndale, NC, and Debra Jones of Lattimore, NC, grandchildren, Christina Hamrick (Chad) of Lattimore, NC, Michael Pendleton (Beth) of Fallston, NC, Jason Pendleton (Lisa) of Shelby, NC, and Stephanie Bristol (Sonny) of Lattimore, NC, great grandchildren, Noah Cline, Maura Pendleton, McKenzie Pendleton, Marissa Pendleton, Sophie Bristol, Styler Bristol, and Sonny Bristol III, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Born July 13, 1936, in Rochelle, GA, Louise was the daughter of the late Rev. Albert Roy Waters Sr. and Naomi Brown Waters and was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Rev. Joe Ronald Edwards, two son-in-laws, Rae Pendleton and Wesley Jones, and three brothers, A.R. Waters, Jr., Bobby Waters, and John Waters. 

 Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a faithful member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church as well as serving other churches in her life. In the church, she served as a Sunday School teacher and Youth Director. Louise was the wife of a United States Air Force Master Seargent. She enjoyed gardening, playing games, and spending time with her family and friends. 

 A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Friday, September 27, 2024, at Beaver Dam Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tom Runyon.
