Lyle Reynolds

LAWNDALE - Lyle Wayne Reynolds, age 66, of Lawndale, NC, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017 at his residence following a short, courageous battle with cancer.
Born April 26, 1950 in Cleveland County, NC, he was the son of Mildred Reynolds and the late L. D. Reynolds. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Reynolds and a brother-in-law, Reece Burris.
Lyle was a member of Casar Baptist Church and co-owner of Shelby Transmission Specialists. He was an avid hunter, loved to fish, watch sports and loved his canine companions.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Dorothy Henderson Reynolds; one son, Phillip Wayne Reynolds; two sisters, Cordelia Burris, Phyllis Cooper and husband Gary; one brother, Dale Reynolds and wife Jane; and sister-in-law, Barbara Reynolds . He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Doug Pruett officiating. Interment will follow the service at Cleveland Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
