Mae Mccoy

Mrs. McCoy, 99, of 830 Skinner Road, Shelby, NC, passed away Friday, June 26, 2009 at her home. A native of Jackson County, Tenn. she was the daughter of the late Phil Cooper & Modine Franks Cooper. She retired from Ora Mill Co. Her favorite things to do were gardening, sewing, cooking for her family and hunting for rocks. Mrs. McCoy was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents Mrs. McCoy was preceeded in death by her husband Issac Elmer McCoy, a son Enis McCoy, six brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. McCoy is survived by two sons Pritchard A. McCoy & wife Doris, Gene McCoy both of Shelby, two daughters Christine Owens of Shelby, and Rachel Powell of Forest City. Also she is survived by 9 grandchildren and a number of Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Bo Wagner, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
