Margaret Bartrug

Mrs. Bartrug, 78, of 2612 Pebble Creek Drive, Shelby, NC died Friday 8-15-2008 at her home. Mrs. Bartrug's parents were the late James Smith Brown & Leona Reed Brown. Mrs. Bartrug was a homemaker and life-long member of the United Methodist Church and continued to be active at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Shelby. She was a member of the Bayliss Sunday School Class and was involved in various programs including United Methodist Women, Disciple and Walk to Emmaus, as well as serving others in the church community.
In addition to her parents she was preceeded in death by two brothers; William Brown & James Brown, and a sister Lucille Brown, and a brother-in-law Walter Pryseski.
Mrs. Bartrug is survived by her husband Norman Bartrug of the home, a son Bruce Bartrug and wife Deborah of Lower Burrell, PA, a daughter Carol Bartrug McSwain and husband Mike of Shelby, a sister Helen Pryseski of Akron, Oh, two sister-in-law's Imogene Brown & Madeline Brown both of Lakemore, OH.
Mrs. Bartrug's grandchildren are Brian Bartrug & Avyn Bartrug of Lower Burrell, PA, Ann McSwain of Greensboro, NC, Michael McSwain and Matthew McSwain of Shelby, NC.
Services are to be conducted by Rev. Wayne Allen, Rev. Sally Queen and Dr. Jeff Patterson.
