Marie Gold

Mrs. Gold, 96, of Shelby, NC, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the home of her daughter Linda Allen. A native of Cleveland County, she was a homemaker and member of Double Springs Baptist Church where she served as a former Sunday School Teacher in the Junior Department.

Mrs. Gold was preceeded in death by her parents Edgar Hunt & Leonia Hunt Hunt, her husband John Pleas Gold, and a brother James Lee Hunt and sister Beulah Hunt White.

Mrs. Gold is survived by three daughters Shirley Gold Kolb of Altamonte Springs, FL. Burnette Gold Whitaker & husband David and Linda Gold Allen both of Shelby, NC, a brother Edgar Hoyte Hunt of Hickory, NC. Mrs. Gold's grandchildren are Rick Blanton, Dana Foster & husband Tim, Dennis Whitaker & wife Jean, Kelly Tease & husband Graeme, Chris Kolb & wife Sue, Brad Hamrick & wife Paula, Kalan Hamrick.
Her great grandchildren are Will Whitaker, Micah Foster, Christen Kaufman, Sam Tease, Wesley Hamrick, Jon-Michael Hamrick, Cody Hamrick & Jacob Hamrick.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev, Todd Bolin pastor of Double Springs Baptist Church.
