Marie Hoyle

Mrs. Marie Brackett Hoyle, age 77 of Casar, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 13, 2021.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Brackett and husband Glenn of Casar, NC, and Pamela Hoyle of Shelby, NC, four grandchildren, Trent Crane and wife Alyson of Casar, NC, Brittany Crane of Lawndale, NC, Victoria Glenn of Shelby, NC, and Isaiah Camp of Shelby, NC, ten great grandchildren, McKenzi Newton, McKayla Newton, Madison Crane, Christian Crane, Corban Crane, Addison Dover, Jayden Ross, Tytus Sydnor, Landon Sydnor, and Layah Glover, six siblings, Louise Montgomery of Lawndale, NC, Ray Brackett of Casar, NC, Diane Newton and husband James of Shelby, NC, Jeanette Allen McCurry and husband Loyd of Casar, NC, Steve Brackett and wife Trudy of Casar, NC, Marilyn Gantt and husband Ricky of Shelby, NC, and Carolyn Shuford and husband Allen of Hickory, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born December 10, 1943 in Rutherford County, Marie was the daughter of the late Brantley and Pauline McNeilly Brackett and was preceded in death by her husbands, George Newton Jr. and Gerald Hoyle, a son, Michael Newton, a grandson, Rocky Newton, three brothers, Harrill Brackett, Jerry Brackett, and Donald Brackett, and two sisters, Linda Brackett and Ruth Bumgardner.

Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister to her family.  She was a faithful member of Corinth Baptist Church where she took care of the nursery and had sung in the choir.  She worked and retired from PPG.  Marie enjoyed working in the garden, canning, attending her flowers, and traveling to the beach.  Marie also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.  She was famous for her chocolate pies. Marie would always bring a smile to your face and she will be truly missed by those that knew her.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Corinth Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Norris Willis.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
