Marjorie Newton

Mrs. Newton, of Shelby, NC, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Catawba County, she retired from Kemet where she worked in Quality Contral. She was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church. Mrs. Newton was preceded in death by her parents Marley McCoy Lail & Hazel Elmore Lail, her husband Ben Griffin Newton, her step-mother Virginia Lail, a brother Keith Lail and a sister Jewel Lail Moss Luckadoo. Mrs. Newton is survived by a sister Marlie Lail Warlick & husband Yates of Belwood, NC, a brother Tim Lail & wife Margaret of Shelby, and a Special Friend, James Bubber Farris of Shelby, NC. Mrs. Newton is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted by the Dr. Rit Varriale, pastor of Elizabeth Baptist Church of Shelby, NC.
