Martha Spangler

April 24, 1947 — December 5, 2016

Mrs. Martha Lou Norville Spangler, 69, of Shelby, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Henry Steven Spangler of the home, a son, Shea Spangler of Shelby, NC, a granddaughter, Kristen Dawn Spangler, a twin sister, Mary Sue Norville Morgan and husband Dennis of Lawndale, NC, and several nieces and nephews.
Born April 24, 1947 in Cleveland County, Mrs. Spangler is the youngest daughter of the late George Franklin Norville and Wilma Lewis Norville and was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Norville Pearson.
Mrs. Spangler was a hard worker and a loving person. Martha was a dedicated wife and mother. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church where she previously taught Sunday school for the children. Martha worked at many jobs throughout her life which include Bost Retail Bakery and Lowes. She enjoyed working puzzle books and spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. She will be missed and loved by those that knew her.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 9, 2016 at Eastside Baptist Church conducted Rev. Dale Byrd. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Double Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Eastside Baptist Church Building Fund, 1165 Wyke Road, Shelby NC 28150.
