Marvin Eubert Morrison

 Mr. Marvin Eubert Morrison, age 80 of Shelby, NC, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at his residence. 

 He is survived by his son, Brian Morrison and wife Sharon of Shelby, NC, two stepsons, Steve Greene and wife Kathy of Bostic, NC, and Jeffrey Greene and wife Leslie of Bostic, NC, a granddaughter, Nicole Walker and husband Justin of Shelby, NC, a great grandson, Henry Walker of Shelby, NC, a sister, Norma Greene of Anderson, SC, and a brother, Nathan Morrison and wife Gwen of Boiling Springs, NC.

 Born November 30, 1943, in Cleveland County, NC, Marvin was the son of the late Eubert Morrison and Marie Chapell Morrison and was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol Lowery Morrison, and two brothers, Russell Morrison and Sammy Morrison.

 Marvin worked and retired from Magnolia Finishing after 40 years of service. He enjoyed showing horses, mission work, building things, and spending time with his family and friends. Marvin was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church where he had previously sung in the choir and taught Sunday School. Marvin served proudly in the United States Army during Vietnam. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him. 

 A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, October 18, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Russ Bradley. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. 

 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby NC 28150.
