Mary Alana Davis went to be with Jesus on Saturday, August 8, 2015, leaving behind her loving family; mother Mary Anne Davis of Shelby, NC, brother Mark Alan Davis and his wife Lori Wood Davis and their children, Elizabeth Davis and Jackson Davis of Siler City, NC, uncle Dan Montague and his wife Brenda of Kernersville, NC, cousin Eleanor Smith and husband Frank and their sons Frank and Daniel of Roanoke, VA, Rev. Daniel Montague and wife Angela and their children, Jacob and Rebecca of Midland, MD.
Alana graduated from Shelby High School in 1987 and later attended UNC Charlotte. She was a manager of New Creations Hair Salon in Charlotte for more than 13 years.
Alana was preceded in death by her father Richard Alan Davis, grandparents Norman Eugene Davis and wife Patsy Vaughn Davis, Daniel Luck Montague and wife Virginia Roberts Montague as well as an aunt Patty Davis Emmons.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Shelby, NC conducted by Rev. Sylvia Wilhelm and Rev. Jamie Mosteller. Visitation will follow after the service in the Epworth Building.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1207 West Dixon Blvd, Shelby, NC 28152.
