Mary Gamble

Mrs. Mary Helen Gamble, age 79, was called to her Heavenly home Friday October 29, 2021.

She is survived by her husband, Claude Gamble of 60 years, three sons, Bryan Gamble and wife Stacey, Billy Gamble and wife Katherine all of Shelby, and Bobby Gamble of Grover.  One daughter, Lisa Adams and Josh Bundy of Dallas, NC. Two sisters, Gwen Owens and husband Don, and Gloria Adams, all of Greenville, SC, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and her beloved dog Barney.

Born in Easley, SC on March 28, 1942, Mary was the daughter of the late James Coatsworth and Ruth Hamilton Martin. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Lynn Gamble Cooke, two brothers, Gordon Martin and James Martin.

Mary was a loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, a humble person who always put others before herself.  She was very sweet and simple, with a loving and kind spirit who loved the Lord. God's light shined brightly through her words and deeds.  She never met a stranger and loved it when company came to visit. She loved holidays.  She made every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter very special for all of her family.  Her children will treasure the memories made on Mother's Day and her birthday. The smallest gifts always brought her such joy, but nothing can ever compare to the joy and happiness she gave us.  Her legacy is a life filled with sacrifice and unconditional love that her family will always cherish

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
