Mary Greene

Mrs. Greene, 76, of Shelby, NC, went to be with her Lord on February 24, 2011 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a loving mother. Mrs. Greene was an avid fisherman and loved to fish with her fishing buddy Dylan Chapman. She was also a member of Zion Baptist Church where she was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class. Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her parents James Plato Allen & Beulah Camp Allen, her husband Frank A. Greene, a son David Franklin Greene, a daughter Lisa Annette Greene, grandson Franklin Lee Horne, brother James Allen, and sisters Elizabeth Reep, Josephine Adams, Margaret Robbins, and dorothy Yarboro. Mrs. Greene is survived by two sons; Roger Steve Greene of the home, Bryan A. Greene & wife Amy of Shelby, two daughters; Barbara Wellmon & husband Scott of Shelby, and Donna Greene of Ellenboro, a brother Joseph Pinkney Allen of Shelby, two sisters Louise Scruggs of Shelby, and Shirley Bell also of Shelby. In addition to these she is also survived by four granddaughters Betsy Horne of Pleasant Garden, NC, Marie Horne of Shelby, Mindy Greene and Allison Greene both of Shelby, a great granddaughter Kassidy Mosqueda of Pleasant Garden, NC, a special adopted daughter Patricia Jackson of Ellenboro, her fishing buddy Dylan Chapman also of Ellenboro and her beloved dog Rex. Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Tim Elmore pastor of Zion Baptist Church of Shelby. Memorials may be made to Zion Baptist Church, 525 Zion Church Road, Shelby, NC 28150.
