Mary Ledford

Mary "Beth" Ledford, age 44, of Grover, died on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of John Warren Kennedy and Mary Biggerstaff Kennedy. Beth's quick wit and wonderful personality gave her the ability to bring a smile to anyone's face. She was an avid reader and also loved to write. She was a faithful Duke University Basketball fan. She attended the Family Worship Center in Kings Mountain.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mildred Biggerstaff Shaffer and her brother, Richard Warren Kennedy.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Sharon Kennedy Hartman and Kim Kennedy Howell and husband Dicky both of Shelby; one son, Spencer McSwain and wife Katherine of Shelby; three aunts, Judy McSwain, Jean Dover, and Sue Powell; two uncles, Ronnie Biggerstaff and Reynold Biggerstaff. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. .
