Melissa Edmondson

Melissa Diane Edmondson, age 43 of Shelby, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 13, 2022.

She is survived by two sisters, Amy Edmondson of Bessemer City, NC, and Ronita Archie of Cherryville, NC, a brother, Ronnie Moon Jr. of Shelby, NC, four very special friends, Nikki Oaks, Amy Martinez, Amanda Dew, Michelle Scruggs, seven nephews, Jaylon Moon, Jeremiah Moon, Justin Johnson, Jamari Archie, Gabe Martinez, and Logan Martinez, and two nieces, Kiely Archie and Destiny Dew.

Born September 27, 1978 in Cleveland County, Melissa was the daughter of Ricky Gene Edmondson and his wife Jean Edmondson and the late Sheila Buff Hopper.

Melissa passion was taking care of other people, especially her nieces and nephews.  She also loved playing on the computer.  She was the kind of person that would always bring a smile to your face and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Andy Oliver and Rev. Mike Frazier.
