Mrs. Mildred C. Davidson, age 69 of Grover, NC, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, William A. Davidson of the home, four children, Tina Lavender of Grover, NC, Angela Ruppe and husband Robbie of Shelby, NC, Karen Kincaid and husband Kendall of Kings Mountain, NC, and Victor Davidson and wife Chrissy of Shelby, NC, eleven grandchildren, Kimber Lavender, Bradley Turner and wife Christy, Jessica Turner, Emily Curtis and husband Casey, Alex Davidson, Bob Kirkland, Brittany Davidson, Caitlyn Davidson, Hannah Ruppe, R.J. Ruppe, and Zachary Davidson, three great grandchildren, Dylan Cole, Jake Cole, and Reilly Curtis, five sisters, Frances Padgett and husband Hubert, Grace Ramsey, Hazel Hall, Virginia George, and Doris Hubbard, a special friend, Carol Franklin of
Grover, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born May 23, 1946 in Cleveland County, Mrs. Davidson was the daughter of the late Grady and Alma (Scruggs) Cartee and was preceded in death by four brothers, Eules Cartee, Walter Cartee, Wytaman Cartee, Broadus Cartee and a sister, Lula Cartee.
Mrs. Davidson was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a caregiver and took care of her whole family. Mildred loved her church and her church family. Once a month, she would spend time with her special cancer support group. She will be missed by those that knew her.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday, October 26, 2015 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tim Trexler. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby NC 28150.
