Mildred Dover

Mrs. Dover, 97, of Shelby, NC passed away Friday, July 16, 2010 at Peak Resources of Shelby. A native of Greer, SC, she retired from Esther Mill after 35 years as a cloth inspector. She was the oldest member of Sharon United Methodist Church where she was very active for many years. Mrs. Dover was preceded in death by her parents; Robert Moss & Effie Moss, her husband Carl Dover, brothers Roy Moss, Olin Moss, Forrest Moss, Edward Moss, sisters Viola Sheilds, Lois Stokes and Dot Glasco. Mrs. Dover is survived by a sister Mary Ellen Wilson, a sister-in-law Nancy Moss, a nephew Wayne Moss, a great niece Holly Moss and a great nephew Robby Moss all of Shelby, NC. Mrs. Dover is also survived by long-time caregivers and nieces Becky Wilson, Mary Ann Whitaker & Kathy Jones all of Shelby, NC, and in addition to these she is also survived by an number of other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Joe Tarpley, pastor of Sharon United Methodist Church of Shelby, NC.
