Nellie Kee

Nellie Robertson Kee, age 81, passed away on July 30, 2016 at Wendover Hospice.
Born June 11, 1935 in Cleveland County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Lester Robertson and Olive Owens Robertson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Kee; son and daughter-in-law, John Derick Kee and Wanda Kee; daughter, Libby Eaker; sisters, Nancy Ruth Lowery, Helen Webb, Trudy Brooks, Juanita Rhinehart; brothers, Wilbert Robertson and D.B. Robertson.
She was a member of Community Baptist Church and sang with the Chapelettes, out of Gaffney for 42 years. She also volunteered at Polkville Elementary School in the Foster Grandparents Program.
Survivors include her son, Roger Wayne Kee and wife Joann of Caroleen; grandchildren, Johnathon Kee, Christopher Kee, Timothy Jett; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Community Baptist Church with Rev. Pete Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
