Nellie Powell

Mrs. Powell, 82, of Shelby, NC, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, Mrs. Powell was a homemaker. Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her parents; Odell Earls & Mary Jane Watts Earls, her husband Charlie Avero Powell, three brothers Bobby Earls, Elvin Earls & Donies Earls, and three sisters Viola Jolly, Bitty Lanier & Adell Shillitto. Mrs. Powell is survived by a daughter and her husband Charlene Sheppard & Randy of Kings Mountain, NC, four sons Jerry Powell of Mooresville, NC, Dennis Powell and wife Connie of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., Chuck Powell of Taylorsville, NC, and Timmy Powell and wife Tonya of Fairview, Tenn., two brothers Tommy Earls of Gaffney, Sc. and Robert Earls of York, SC, three sisters Laura Jane Tessener of Shelby, NC, Mary Lou Ramsey and Elizabeth Spears both of York, SC. In addition to these she is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted by the Rev. Mike Carper.
