Nellie Watson

Mrs. Watson, 93, of 401 N. Morgan Street, Shelby, NC, White Oak Manor formally of 514 Legion Street Shelby, passed away Sunday at White Oak Manor. A native of Cleveland County, NC, she was the daughter of the late John Reid & Eliza Weaver Reid. In addition to her parents she was also preceeded in death by her husband William "Bill" J. Watson, brothers Robert L. Reid Sr., Frank G. Reid, and Jim Reid, a nephew Eddie Reid and a sister=in-law Bernice P. Reid. Mrs. Watson was retired from Oxford Knit and was a member of Mulls Memorial Baptist Church.
Mrs. Watson is survived by a niece Brenda R. Mitchem, and a sister-in-law Louise O. Reid both of Shelby, nephews Robert L. Reid of Cottonwood, CA., and Ronnie Reid of Redding, CA. In addition to these she is also survived by a special friend for many years Peggy Izzie Porter of Shelby, and a special nurse Pat Farley along with the entire staff at White Oak Manor of Shelby.
Funeral Services will be conducted by Dr. Bulo E. Price and Rev. Jerome Cash. Memorial may be made to White Oak Manor, Courtyard Fund, 401 N. Morgan Street, Shelby, NC 28150.
