Nina Ledbetter

Mrs. Ledbetter, 94, of 119 Stone Crest Rd., Shelby, NC, passed away Friday, November 13, 2009 at Willow Ridge Nursing Center in Rutherfordton, NC. A native of Gaston County, NC, she worked 40 years at Lily Mill Company. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Ledbetter was preceeded in death by her parents David & Isabel Bridges McCarver, her husband Arthur Ledbetter, brothers Paul, Tom, Harold & Melvin McCarver, sisters Helen Toney, Esther Upchurch, Audrey Addis & Doris Huffstetler. Sruvivors are a son and his wife John & Jackie Clay of Shelby, grandchildren Lisa Lacriox & husband Christian, John Mark Clay & wife Jennifer, great grandchildren Will Clay, Emily & Megan Drumgold, and two brothers Edward (Buddy) McCarver of Shelby, NC, and David McCarver of Hampton, Fla. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Jimmy Black pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, 374 Hudlow Rd., Forest City, NC 28043.
