O.Z. Humphries

Mrs. O.Z. Georgia Jenkins Humphries, age 91 of Concord, NC, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Funeral services will be held 11:30 am Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Camps Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Buddy Morehead. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church. Burial will follow at Camps Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by a son, Wallace Humphries and wife Brenda of Albemarle, NC, a daughter, Gwen Reed and husband Ernie of Aberdeen, MD, five grandsons, Harold Reed of Aberdeen, MD, Mike Reed of Pennsylvania, Russell Reed of Aberdeen, MD, Cameron Humphries of Albemarle, NC, and Kenneth Humphries and wife Janet of Charleston, SC, three great grandchildren and two sisters.
Born July 25, 1923 in Rutherford County, Mrs. Humphries was the daughter of the late Roy and Dovie (Porter) Jenkins and was preceded in death by her husband, Graham Humphries, five brothers, and two sisters. Mrs. Humphries was a member of the Roberta Baptist Church in Concord. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, spending time with her family and friends and just being a homemaker.
Pallbearers will be Russell Reed, Stephen Hicks, Stephen Humphries, Johnny Womack, John Kevin Womack, and Tyler Womack.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tucker Hospice House, 5005 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
