Patricia Whitaker

Mrs. Whitaker, 69, of 3915 Stick Elliott Road, Lawndale, NC passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, she had worked a number of years at Triple D. Publishing Co., and had last worked at Kebo's and was a homemaker. Mrs. Whitaker was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Shelby, and loved baking for her family and friends.Mrs. Whitaker was preceeded in death by her parents Way Gantt & Pearl Reichard Gantt, two husbands, Monroe Crow & Carl Whitaker, and a sister Beatrice "Pete" Gold.Mrs. Whitaker is survived by two sons Ricky Crow of Mooresboro, NC & Marion Crow and wife Jan of Polkville, NC, two daughters Wanda Greene and husband Richard and Carolyn Champion and husband Jeff all of Mooresboro, nC. She is also survived by a brother Bill Gantt of Lamar, SC, sisters Clarice Hoyle of Lawndale, NC, Frances Cameron of Piqua, Ohio, and Jo Ellen Sprusansky of Boiling Springs, NC. Mrs. Whitaker's grandchildren are Brad Greene and wife Brooke, Matt Greene, Megan Crow, Leah Crow, Spencer Crow & Cody Swink.Funeral services will be conducted by Rev's. Rick Hamrick & Doug Pruett.Memorials may be made to Cleveland Rutherford Kidney Association, 1017 N. Washington Street, Shelby, NC.
