Peggy Mcswain

Peggy Russ McSwain, age 78, passed away on July 23, 2020 at Peak Resources in Shelby, NC.

She is survived by a son, Gene McSwain of Shelby, NC and a daughter, Diane Ogle of Shelby, NC, two grandchildren, Michael McDaniel of Morganton, NC, and Chris McDaniel (Ashley) of FL, three great grandchildren, Makayla McDaniel, Logan McDaniel, and Luke McDaniel, a brother Michael Russ of Grover, NC, a nephew, Alan Michael Crotts of Shelby, NC and a stepfather, Andrew Ledford (Vicki) of Boiling Springs, NC.

Born in Cleveland County on March 28, 1942, Peggy was the daughter of the late Paul Russ and Irene Russ Ledford. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ray Eugene McSwain and a sister, Hazel Tessenear.

Peggy was a member of Zoar Baptist Church and enjoyed reading her bible.

A graveside service will be held at Community Baptist Church in Shelby, NC on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 10:00am.
